Desk Catty Gift Set from 12 x 12 cardstockCategory: My Crafty Projects | Permalink Published: Wednesday, April 22, 2009
This is the Desk Catty Gift Set I made for Crystal, my hostess from my last Gathering. Thank you so much Crystal... you were an awesome hostess. :) This desk catty was made from the That's Amore paper pack from Close To My Heart & Damask Tiles My Acrylix clear stamps. This is actually fairly easy to make. All you need is (1) 12x12 piece of cardstock, (2) 12x12 pieces of B&T duo paper (B&T is from CTMH) and (2) 18" strips of ribbon. Score the cardstock at 4 inches & 8 inches. Turn the cardstock and store again at 4 inches and 8 inches. The cardstock will then have 9 squares. Next score the outer 4 corners diaganolly towards the center of the paper. Cut four 3 3/4 inch squares of B & T Duo Paper and mount on the 4 solid squares. Then cut another four 3 3/4 inch squares of the other B & T Duo Papers. Cut each diagonally to form triangles. Mount on the diagonally scored squares. Punch holes in all four points. Leave the center squares plain. Embellish as desired. Fold all the score lines and fold the diagnolly scored lines toward the center. Thread one of the ribbons diagnolly across the catty and then the same for the other ribbon and tie a bow to hold it together. Fill and Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions. You may want to add something heavy to the bottom to avoid it tipping over when filled unevenly. Tutorial originally from Pamela Wallace, CTMH To Order Close To My Heart Products Online, Click Here!
