Card Making with the ARTbooking Cricut Collection

So I have been asked by a few people if you can make cards with the new ARTbooking Cricut Cartridge from Close To My Heart or if it is just for scrapbooking and the answer is... YES!!! You totally can! Here is a card I whipped up using the arrow overlay. On the example in the cricut handbook it shows cutting it at 11" for a scrapbook layout but I simply changed the size dial to 4" and cut this overlay out for a card. I then took some of the new Laughing Lola Paper {Available 8/1} and cut some strips of it to put behind the overlay. I loved how it shows a variety of color. So fun!

Then I cut the sentiment "Hello" two times (Black & Lagoon) and just staggered them to give it a 3D effect and also so the color would POP. Then I just cut 2 strips of the coordinating paper and cut the ends with an angle. Last I grabbed this cool flower from the Laughling Lola Complements pack and the Laughling Lola Assortment for the bow clip and leopard bling.... adhered those and Tada!!! Easy Peasy!

I hope this inspires you to think outside the "handbook" and try something different. You can use these overlays for all sorts of fun projects... cards, canvases, 3D projects, etc. It all can be mixed and matched.
