CTMH Convention Award Banquet 2 Page Layout using the NEW Artbooking Cricut Collection
Published: Friday, July 5, 2013
My Cricut Expression was chirping away today... Did you hear it? :) I'm loving the new Artbooking Cricut Cartridge from Close To My Heart. I used it to scrapbook an amazing moment for me which was the recent Close To My Heart Convention Awards Banquet. Check it out...
I am still shocked by it all but I received 3 (Yes, THREE) 1st place awards at the recent awards banquet. 1st Place for Top Team Builder, 1st Place for Top Website Sales and 1st Place for Most Straight to the Top Downline..... it was also announced that I am going to be on the Close To My Heart Advisory Board for 2013-2014. I'm so EXCITED!!! Such a huge honor to be asked. I can't thank my customer and team members enough for helping me to earn these awards and get me to where I am today with this awesome company.
It's crazy to think I joined 4.5 years ago to just be a "hobbyist", get a great deal on a kit and get a discount on my CTMH purchases and now look, I am a Senior Director, earning Incentive Trips, have a large team under me that I support, and have the best customers all over the US. It's just amazing!!! So thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for choosing me to be your consultant. :)
Back to this fun 2 page layout I made using the Artbooking cartridge.... I could have gone the simple route but I wanted to mix and match and try different things on the cartridge so I cut the hexagon overlay and then cut it some what in half to spread across 2 layouts. I cut it at 11" and it was the perfect size for my 12" x 12" layout. I cut the banner photo mat also at 11" since it's scaled to size for the layout. Pretty cool that they are all scaled to the perfect size, right? Even the title "Celebrate" and the camera was cut at 11". If you want to cut something at a different size you just click your "Real Dial Size" which I did for the little arrow and the journal spot.
Also instead of tossing the negative space (hexagons), I just added some of them to the corners for some pop of color. I then grabbed the new cork shapes (stars & arrow) and added them in various spots.
Overall it was a really fun, yet easy 2 page layout to put together. I'm loving the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge already. Next time I will try to stick to the handbook and follow a complete layout as it's outlined so you can see just how simple it is to use this cartridge. Actually I can't wait to try a Mini Album. :)

Love your layout! I like how you used some of the negative pieces for the corners and mixed and matched different shapes to get such a fun and interesting layout.
