Damask Divas - For Always Blog Hop

Yay.... it's Blog Hop Time! The Damask Divas team is at it again creating fabulous artwork featuring the brand spanking NEW For Always paper pack from the Close To My Heart Spring/Summer Idea Book. And guess what?! The new book is LIVE now... you can check it out at

For the hop I made this fun birthday card and little purse using paper scraps from For Always....

I simply lined up my scraps of paper on the cricut mat and cut a bunch of banners using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I layed them out on the card staggered so they were different heights and then just trimmed the top off. I then used the cupcake stamp that comes with the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge, cut out on my cricut and stamped it with black ink. I added some color to the wrapper part of the cupcake with our CTMH Alcohol markers and then blinged up the icing with CTMH Sparkles and CTMH Glitz. I had a scrap of Cotton Candy and Colonial White cardstock so I cut more banners and stamped the sentiment "Hope your Birthdays as sweet as you" that is also on the stamp set that comes in the Artiste Collection. LOVE that set!

For the little purse I used the Artiste Cartridge again and just added the pocket in the For Always paper pack to coordinate with the card. Embellished it to match the card and viola!!! Perfect way to use up scraps.

Next up on the hop is Ashley Greaux. Head on over to check out her fabulous creation and if you get lost along the way the complete list is on our Team Blog:

They laugh at me because I keep scraps that are big enough to use for another project. Those scraps often come in handy. thanks for the tip.
