Happy New Year! :)

I hope you're ready for another Damask Divas Team Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the La Belle Vie Paper Pack from Close To My Heart. It's time to sit back, grab some coffee or hot cocoa and have fun hopping with us.

Here is the My Creations Star I made ...

These My Creation Stars from Close To My Heart are really fun and easy to decorate. I simply covered each side of the points with the purples and pinks from the La Belle Vie paper pack. I alternated the patterened paper and then inked up the edges with Smokey Plum. Next I made the Shabby Chic flower. I've shared before how I've made the flower but I'll post the video again (see below) in case you haven't seen it. The only difference was I used the Art Phillosophy Cartridge this time instead of the Artiste Cartridge to cut the flower. I already had it in the machine so there was no sense in changing it... both cartridges have so many options so I just quickly scanned over the key pad and saw the perfect flower. I cut them at 3 1/2", 3", 2 1/2" and 2".

Before adhering the flower to the star I carefully placed some of the CTMH Pearl Flourishes. I had to take the flourishes apart before sticking them on so that I could get them to fit and be where I wanted but they are like stickers so it was pretty easy.

Here is a closer look at the flower...

Thanks for checking out my project. The next blog on the list is Sandra Rosario. Hope you enjoy checking out all the La Belle Vie creations. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas Blog for the full list. Be sure to make your way back to the Damask Divas Blog after hopping with us so you can enter the GIVEAWAY to win an awesome stamp set from this months sponsor, Melissa Lind.
