Damask Divas Pear & Partridge Blog Hop

Yay, it's Blog Hop Time!!! My awesome Damask Divas Team is showing off our projects featuring the Pear & Partridge Paper Pack from Close To My Heart. I hope you'll enjoy hopping around and checking out our pear & partridge projects.

With Christmas right around the corner I wanted to share how I'm wrapping my families gifts and the coordinating card that I made. I've decided to go with simple wrapping this year and use recycled kraft paper. I love the look with just some twine wrapped around it and a simple letter for the first initial. I used the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the letter B with Pear & Partridge paper. It will definitely make it easy on Christmas morning to just see a B for Brooklyn, M for Maverick, L for Londyn and D for Daddy. :)

The JOY card was made to match. I tried to keep it simple but simple is something that is hard for me to do. I used one of the CTMH Colonial White Die Cut Cards and covered it with Pear & Partridge paper, which I inked up with New England Ivy Ink. I cut 1 3/4" squares using the green in the Pear & Partridge paper pack and rounded the corners with a punch. I then ran it through my cuttlebug machine using the swiss dots embossing folder and inked it all up with New England Ivy. The JOY letters were cut at 1 1/4" using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and adhered to the squares using the CTMH Bonding Memories Glue. Then I just cut some CTMH Burlap ribbon and Cranberry Ribbon, tied a little bow and viola! Ohhh for the flap I just added some wooden buttons and tied some twine. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

The next blog on the list is Amie Kiger. Hope you have a wonderful time checking out all the creations using Pear & Partridge Paper Pack. If you get lost, just hop on over to Damask Divas Blog for the full list. Be sure to make your way back to the Damask Divas Blog after hopping with us so you can enter the GIVEAWAY to win an awesome stamp set from this months sponsor, Amie Kiger.

I like the concept of how you wraped tour present with string wound around the package. Love the card to go along with the package. Awesome

Really great idea for the wrapping. I do the initial thing too. Works great for little ones. The Joy card is very pretty, esp. with the ribbon over the burlap.
