Home Decor Wreath using the CTMH Artiste, Burlap, Tulle & Cardstock

Fall is approaching and I wanted a new wreath for the front door. =) I decided to play with some awesome new products from Close To My Heart... the Burlap Ribbon and the Black Tulle to create this vintage, shabby chic looking wreath.

Pretty neat looking, huh?

The Colonial White flowers were so fun and easy to make. I used the CTMH Artiste Cricut Cartridge to cut the flower shape in a variety of sizes, inked them up with some CTMH Black Ink, sprayed them with water and crumbled them up, un-crumbled them, layered 3 together with a piece of CTMH black tulle in between each layer, topped it off with a CTMH Designer Rhinestone brad and then fluffed them up to get the look I wanted. Since I know it's much easier to see how it was done rather than just reading it I created a quick video to show you all....

Then I made a couple burlap flowers using our new CTMH Burlap Ribbon. Here is a tutorial for one of them (shared this on my blog a couple weeks ago)...

The rolled burlap flower one was simple. I just started with the ribbon folded in half and rolled it a few times to make the center of the flower and then I upfolded and twisted the ribbon while wrapping it around and around. To secure it I cut another little square of the burlap and hot glued the flower to it. To jazz it up I placed a CTMH Designer Rhinestone brad to the center.

I then cut some burlap ribbon in the shape of leaves and added those under the burlap flowers. I hot glued all the flowers around the left/bottom side of the wreath and simply some burlap to the top by hot glueing it on the back side of the wreath.

I loved how it turned out and can't wait to go hang it on my front door.

This is really cute and I so appreciate the videos on how to do this with the cricut. It does look easy when you do it! And I can't imagine how you get all this created, make a video, post it to your blog and take care of three little ones and a you ever sleep?
