Baby Girl Canvas for Hair Bows using CTMH Lucy & Pemberley

Who do you know having a baby girl? Well besides me! =) This baby girl hair bow canvas I made is the perfect gift for those who love adorable little hair bows and having them all organized. Who doesn't love that right? It's even perfect for a toddler or young girl who has lots of hair bows.

I usually make these using picture frames or shadow box frames but I decided to try something different this time and use canvas. I thought it turned out adorable and hoping my buddy Juliana LOVES it! I'm sending it to her to go in her baby girl Evelyn's nursery. She is also due in August. =)

I combined patterned paper from the CTMH Lucy Paper Pack with a piece from the CTMH Pemberly Paper Pack. Each paper was then matted with some CTMH Chocolate Cardstock. The bedding she is going with is super cute and has different shades of pink and brown, with little dancing animals and a light leopard trim. I hope these colors I chose will blend perfectly with the bedding.

I used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the letters out... E-V-E-L-Y-N (beautiful name), then sponged the edges with CTMH Cotton Candy Ink and added some pink rhinestones that I picked up at Michael's Craft Store. I then cut out the flowers using CTMH White Daisy cardstock, added an accordion folded circle flower that I made using the Pemberley Paper again and topped it off with a large pink rhinestone.

The ribbon I used was all from Michael's Craft Store. I put a strip of the brown and pink polka dots across the canvass and just slightly under the letters to help them pop a bit and so it all coordinated together with the bow holder portion at the bottom. It is actually 2 different ribbons... one is a pink satin and the other is the thinner brown & pink polka dots. I glued them together, let them dry and then adhered them to the back of the canvas using my handy daddy hot glue gun to make sure it was super sturdy and would not come off. An added touch is to fold the top and bottom and glue them up just a hair to give them a nice, clean, smooth look rather than just the cut pieces showing. For the top I made a V shape (upside down) and tied a knot in the center. This makes it easier to hang on the wall and also allows me to add a pretty bow to the top of it.

To add the icing on the cake I took some light pink boa, which I purchased at Michael's Craft Store and hot glued it all around the outside of the canvas. I love the look it added to give it a super fun, cutesy, girlie look. =) Lastly I put a tiny bit of the boa around the center of the bow and viola.... it is ready to ship and hang in baby Evelyn's room. Hope she loves it and fills it with tons of pretty bows for that sweet baby girl.

That is super cute!! I need to try something like that, for my girls. I have all their bows in a plastic box and they are getting all squashed.
