Trick or Treat... Are you looking for a fun place to put your candy? How about a this cute candy caddy for your desk at work or counter at home?

With minimal supplies you can create this fun little caddy. Here is how...

  • Take a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock and score it at 4" and 8" on both sides. You should end up with 9 squares.
  • Then score the outside 4 squares diagonally in towards the center.
  • Decorate however you'd like. For mine I just decorated the outer center 4 squares... you can do the 4 corner squares too just be sure to cut them diagonally before adhering to your base.
For the pumpkins I cut 3 circles on the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, sponged them up with black ink, adhered them together with Liquid Glass, added a tiny 1/2" leaf cut using the AP Cartridge and a stem from the retired October Month Stamp set. I also stamped and cut the cute little bats and popped them up with some 3D foam.
  • Next you'll need to punch a hole in the top 4 corners.
  • Assemble your catty by folding all the scored lines and bring the 4 corners toward the center.
  • Cut 2 strips of ribbon and string through the holes. You can either tie a bow or you can just tie a little knot and add flowers like I did. I cut two 4 1/2" flowers and two 3 1/2" flowers using the Art Philosophy Cartridge and adhered them with 3D glue dots to the top.
  • Fill with candy and enjoy!

Yum... look at all that candy it holds. Looks so delish! It's a good thing I can't eat sweets though otherwise it would be all gone before Halloween. =) Can you believe Halloween is next Monday?  I can't wait! Maverick is going to be a little Pirate and he looks too cute in his costume. It's going to be fun taking him trick or treating... he's 17 months old. Last year he slept on my husband shoulder the whole night while Brooklyn had all the fun. =) He can't say trick or treat yet but he's been practicing the Aaarrrrrrrgggggg to go with his pirate costume. LOL! Too cute!

Hope you liked the candy catty!
