Thanksgiving Table Setting using CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge

Are you having guests over for Thanksgiving? Why not make a fun table setting for Turkey day. Here is what I made using the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge from Close To My Heart.

Does it make you want to come join me for Thanksgiving? =) My Thanksgiving Table Setting includes the fall wreath place card, a menu card with corn, a napkin ring, and a cornucopia which holds a york peppermint patty.

For the place card with my little ones name on it "Brooklyn" I used the arched square on the Art Philosophy Cartridge. Using the card feature setting I cut it at 5 1/2". I then cut out 10 leaves at 2" and stamped them with the coordinating stamp set that comes with the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection. I would have been cutting for hours and hours if it wasn't for this awesome cartridge. I love that I can cut the image on the cricut, stamp it and it's ready for my project. I'm sure you already know that since I rave about this Art Philosophy Cartridge non stop! I seriously think this cartridge is the best thing since sliced bread! =) No joke, it seems like there are endless choices on this cartridge (700 of them in a gazillion different sizes)... I find new stuff to use everytime I flip through the handbook.

Ok back to the place card, I also cut the shape that Brooklyn's name is on and the ribbon I used is dark chocolate striped grosgrain ribbon to tie on the ends. If you look closely you'll see that I cut the ribbon down the center to create two thinner pieces that would fit through the slits on the name badge.

For the cornucopia I cut a 4" scalloped square, I ran it through my old fiskars paper crimper (so glad I never got rid of that thing) both vertical and horizontal to create a weaved look although looking at it in the pics makes me think of a waffle cone. =) I folded the opposite corners together, adhered with glue dots and just twisted up the end of it, added a leaf, tied some ribbon on it and placed some York Peppermint Patties inside.

For the menu I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut out 19 circular flowers at 2" each. (FYI: If you're new to rolling flowers these circular ones are the easiest to roll.) I took advantage of the "Autofill" button on my expression and stuck in a sheet of Colonial White Cardstock, set it at 2", pushed autofill and it was done in no time. I inked up all the edges with CTMH Honey ink prior to rolling the flowers. I secured them with liquid glass and set them aside to dry. The base of the corn is a 2" oval. For the husk I cut 2 small strips of paper, I spritz some water on them and crumbled them up nice and tight, I unrolled them and folded them how I wanted them and set them aside to dry. Since I don't know what our Thanksgiving day menu will be yet I left it blank aside from stamping a flourish from the CTMH Love Life stamp set and stamped "Menu" using the small Friendship CTMH alphabet stamp set. The menu card and corn are adhered to a 6" x 6" piece of CTMH Dreamin paper.

For the napkin ring I just used a strip of CTMH Dreamin Paper to wrap around the napkin. I secured it with glue dots and added a big bow made with the dark chocolate striped grosgrain and 3 flowers were cut on Colonial White paper and inked in CTMH Honey, Autumn Terracotta and Olive. I then cut a tiny strip of paper and rolled it around the piercing tool to make it curly and used liquid glass to adhere them under the flowers.
