Trick -or- Treat | Halloween Goodies using CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut CartridgeCategory: My Crafty Projects | Permalink Published: Wednesday, September 28, 2011 I wanted to share some Halloween Goodies that I made using the MUST HAVE Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Have you seen these little spiders before? They are so fun!! I had remembered seeing similar spiders while blog hopping last year so I decided to create my own version of them using the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.
I cut 2 scalloped circles at 2 1/2" and the legs at 1 1/2". The legs are actually corners (page 50 of the Art Philosophy handbook, font feature key). I got these adorable little wiggly eyes with eyelashes at Joann's Craft Store and then cut the tiny little nose at 1/4". The middle legs are attached to the top scallop circle (bottom side of the scallop circle) and the other 2 legs are attached to the bottom scalloped circle (top side of the scalloped circle). There is a York Peppermint Patty sandwiched in between the 2 scalloped circles (using a glue dot to hold them together) Hope that makes sense. =) I would probably suggest using a smaller scalloped circle than I used but I got a box of York Peppermint Patties at Costco not knowing they were in a plastic wrapper instead of the normal foil wrapper. Therefore I had to make the scallop circles a little bigger to hide the edges from sticking out. The little Halloween Goodie Bag is the same bag I used for the Santa Bag. It is on page 23 (Font Layer key). I cut the bag at "fit to page" then cut out a few little "pennant banners" for the eyes & nose and the mouth is actually the top of the acorn (Page 37, Layer Feature Key) with the top snipped off. haha! I had to get tricky with that one. =) I then just cut a few teeth, added some black boa and tada! FRIENDLY REMINDER... TO ORDER THE ART PHILOSOPHY CRICUT CARTRIDGE, CLICK HERE!

Sunday, October 02, 2011 @ 8:32:26 AM Jenny, from what I understand it's like a sandwich. The scallop circles are the bread and the peppermint patty is your deli meats lol: one scallop circle on top the peppermint patty then the 2nd scalloped circle on the bottom. That's how I understode it! And awsome ideas Mandy, I love you work!! Posted by: Jenny Thursday, September 29, 2011 @ 9:16:22 AM You are so stinkin' creative with the Art Philosophy cartridge! I love it! I just need more time to make some of this stuff myself. :) I do have a question though. Is the spider a little box somehow? I'm not understanding the part about the peppermint patties.
