CTMH Dreamin Card Box using Art Philosophy Cricut Cartrige & Hooray Bouquet

I've been on a roll with altered projects and wanted to share with you what I made last night using the lovely new Dreamin paper from Close To My Heart along with the the MUST HAVE CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I could rave about this cartridge all day long.... you really do NEED it! Check out some of my recent projects using this fabulous new cartridge, HERE!

Here is the card box I made...

And guess what? I have another quick video tutorial (below) to share with you today on how I made the flower shown on the card box.

So would you believe me if I told you the card box is actually a Paul Frank Pencil Box that I picked up in the clearance Back to School section at Target yesterday?!? It was only $1.40.... score! It even has the magnetic closure. You should be on the look out for great finds like this. They may even have some at the $1 store. Here is a pic of how it originally looked...

Then I covered the box with the CTMH Dreamin Paper. I used one strip of Dreamin Paper (cut to size) from the front flap all the way to the back of the box. I added the folds so it was snug against the box and wouldn't separate from the edges when it was opened. Then just cut strips for the sides, added a solid piece of cardstock to the bottom and adhered it using my Adhesive Tape Gun (ATG). Like this...

Once I covered the box in paper I inked up all the edges using CTMH Chocolate Ink, then had a blast using my Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut out the 3 flower layers, the banner, the circle and the letters C-A-R-D. I inked up all the edges of the cut pieces (not the letters or flowers), laid them all out out how I wanted it and adhered it to the paper. Last up was the flowers... now how cool is it that with this new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge you no longer need to stamp on cardstock and spend forever cutting out the image?!? Pretty darn cool!!!
