Teacher Card using CTMH Elemental & Art Philosophy

I decided to have a little fun with the new Elemental paper pack from Close To My Heart. I thought the colors and patterns would be perfect to use for a teacher card. My precious little Brooklyn started 2nd grade today so I wanted to have a card ready for her to give to her new teacher along with some other paper crafted goodies I will be making this weekend. =)

I went with a tiled look for this card so I cut 1 1/2" squares, inked all the edges with CTMH Chocolate Ink and adhered all 12 squares across the 5" x 6.5" card base. I then used the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the Top Note rectangular shape with CTMH Pacifica Cardstock (size 2 1/2") and then another one using CTMH White Daisy (size 2"). The stamp set I used is the on that comes in the Art Philosophy Cricut Collection. It was perfect since it has the teacher option to check off.

I used some CTMH cranberry ribbon and placed it across the tiles, tucking the ends in behind the end tiles. Then I had some fun with the CTMH Milepost Shapes.... love these! You can ink them up like I did using a sponge or add some CTMH Glitz to them.... tons of fun ideas. I layered 2 different sizes and added the 1st Class which I stamped from the CTMH Blue Ribbon set and topped it off with a clear button and some hemp. In the bottom left corner I felt like it was missing something so I added 3 bronze brads. Since my card was already completed when adding the brads I just cut the backs off and used glue dots to secure them to the front of the card. Tada!

I'm sure you can tell that I'm loving the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.... I've been using it on every project and honestly know that I will continue to use it on EVERY project. Especially when it does everything I need it to.... circles, top notes, flowers, cards, banners, butterflies, tags, photo mats, rectangles.... the possibilities are endless with this cartridge and I really think every scrapbooker or cardmaker NEEDS this!
