My {Live Love Craft} Scrapbooking & Stamping Room

I wanted to share My re-vamped {Live Love Craft} Scrapbooking & Stamping Room with you all. I have acquired a LOT more Close To My Heart supplies since I originally set up my space back in 2009 so I needed new storage spaces to accommodate it all. You can see how it looked back in 2009 by clicking here. I hope you'll find some ideas that inspire you for your space...

I've included lots of pictures... starting with the entrance to the room. I have this cute damask ribbon board on the wall where I put pictures and also I like to tear out pages in magazines that I find inspiring and stick them up there as well.

As you can see i LOVE damask. My walls are an aqua blue... 3 of the walls are a lighter shade and the cube wall is done in a brighter, darker aqua to give it some extra pop on that side. The rest of the room is black & white damask with the wood shutters, table & floor... just like my blog! =)

Here is my little "M" hook where I hang my crafty apron. I never wear it but think it looks cute hanging there. =) This entire wall is a closet with mirrored doors. I store a ton of scrapbook supplies, more paper, etc. I even have my TV in there. I didn't want to take up space in my craft room for the TV so I put a stand in the closet and viola! It is the perfect spot since I face that direction when crafting. I didn't take any pics of my closet because it is so not organized. I have mismatched containers and prefer those doors stay closed. haha!

This is my favorite part of my room... my ClosetMaid cube storage. There are 5 cube sets along the wall (two of the 9 cube organizers and three of the 6 cube organizers). I really wanted to make it look fun so this stair effect is what I came up with. Every other cube has a ClosetMaid Black Fabric Drawer that is full of supplies. All my stuff has a home and I know right where it goes. I haven't added tags to the boxes but I'm thinking of adding the circle tags. I bought them but still pondering the idea. It's hard to see in the picture but I recently added the Sterilite 3 drawers into 3 of the cubes. I added black & white patterned paper to the front of each drawer to make it go more with the room. I use cropper hoppers for storing my paper. This vertical storage works great for me and I just store other non-CTMH paper in the closet.

On the far right side you will see my tower of stamps. I am loving my new stamp storage. They are Sterilite 3 drawer narrow organizers... I think they may be discounted now but I purchased 3 of them and stacked them at the end. They hold a TON of stamps. I was outgrowing my previous storage method which was in CTMH My Acrylix stamp organizers and the $1 CD basket from sterilite. It got to where I didn't have any more cubes available for another organizer so this new solution works perfect for me. I have my stamp sets organized by color family and recently started making copies of the stamps to be able to find the set I need much easier. Still have a lot to do. The drawers aren't completely full {YET!} so I have a room to grow. =)

Here is my black wicker basket with damask lining that I use as my trash can. I just got this black shelf that holds more supplies and I set my work in progress binder on top as well as my jet max organizer. To the right I have a Close To My Heart Idea Book/Magazine stand which holds some recent craft magazines and some idea books. Hiding in the corner is my tripod for when I film my tutorials. I haven't filmed as many as I'd like but I'm going to try to film more.

In the corner is my altered embellishment center. I posted a blog about it a few months ago, click here to read about that. I have it sitting on this black stereo cabinet (works perfect in here) which holds supplies I like to have really close by since my chair is right in front of that.

This is my craft table... I have 2 leaves for it that I can add to make it really big but on a normal day I prefer to keep them out. The damask mats are actually placemats that I purchased at Home Goods. They are wood with a cork base... love them so that my table doesn't get messed up. Especially with Brooklyn {6 years old} always crafting with me. =) The wire on the wall is from Ikea... it is a curtain wire called a Dignitet. Above that I have the letters C T M H which I purchased from Jo-Ann's, spray painted black, covered with black & white patterned paper and embellished. So now that you've had a little tour of my room I'll show you some other angles...

Video Tour...

I welcome your comments, questions and feedback. Thanks for looking!

Mandy, I just found your website, and I LOVE IT!!! Especially the video and pictures of your gorgeous craft room! I've been setting up my craft room (only 8' x 10') using the matching cabinets to your cubes. I already had them for my teaching materials, and I have had to retire s-o-o-o-o-o, how better to use them than for my craft materials?!?! Each cabinet is about 60" high and just under 24" wide -- it allows for lots of choices in arranging everything. My husband put white peg-board above my work area that is really handy; in addition, he mounted my Cricut Expression cabinet above the other desk/work table and mounted 6 matching white shelves (3 on each side) just wide enough for my Cricut cartridge boxes. I try to keep them alphabetical so that I can find the one I want quickly -- I have about 100 of them, so I needed to see them! When you get "older" Out-of-sight is Out-of-mind sometimes. lol My memory isn't as good as yours, so I put black-on-clear labels from my little Brother labeler on the doors and on organizers inside. They really aren't visible unless you are looking for them. Helps me to put stuff back after using it AND to find it when I want it. I love your great ideas of decorating with matching black and white. I think I will craft-steal that idea to color coordinate and spruce up my plain white cabinets. Now I can hardly wait to explore all of your other videos! You do a great job on them! They look professional! Thanks so much for sharing!! sometimes known as: "That crazy teacher" (Edit this if you wish; it turned out kind of long.)

I love your room! I got some of the narrow sterilite drawers but my stamp sets do not fit properly in them, the drawers are not wide enough. Are you stamps kinda slanted in the drawers? Thank you in advance for your time!

Thanks ladies for the sweet comments. @Jenn Joncas.. They are probably the same ones you have, they're Steilite 3 drawer narrow towers. They are a smidge too narrow but when you have a lot of stamp sets in there they turn less. I still prefer it over the previous storage I was using cause it takes up less space for me.

Mandy, your room is absolutely gorgeous!!!! I love how you have decorated it! (that's the part I'm not good at) I love how you put ribbon on your cropper hopper storage, it dresses them up so well! I have been trying to find the storage like you have for you CTMH stamps but the one I found at Walmart was just a tad bit too narrow for our stamps, they would have to go in on an angle. I have a narrow space beside my cubes where something like that would fit perfectly. Where did you get yours?? Thanks for sharing!!!
