CTMH Hooligan & Aspiration Card | H2H21 StitchingCategory: My Crafty Projects | Permalink Published: Monday, August 23, 2010 This week over at Heart 2 Heart we're having a Stitching Challenge. You can incorporate real or faux stitching into your project. Fun.... huh? Head on over to Heart 2 Heart Challenges to check it out and join in on the fun!
Ready for a few Close To My Heart sneak peeks? The orange paper I used is called Sunset and is in the new Summer Carnival palette from the 2010 Autumn/Winter Idea Book. The bright blue aspiration flowers is a new color, Lagoon which is from the Summer Celebrations palette. Also featured in this card is the sunset maze looking paper which is from the new Hooligan paper pack. The backside to this paper is actually bright green with various bright colors of little hooligans but I wanted to go for the more subtle look so I flipped it over. That's the great part about our B&T papers.... you get so many different looks, tones, styles and colors from one paper pack. For this card I was going for a somewhat asian look. I started with a White Daisy card base and used my new Marta Stewart punch set to create the border. I then cut a piece of sunset cardstock to go behind the front flap of the card so it would pop through the circles. Next I cut a piece of the Hooligan paper and sewed around the edges with my new handy dandy little sewing machine. Next I used the Love Story Rub-ons for the stem and flowers then to give it some pop I used the My Acrylix Clear Stamp Set, Aspiration that has the same flowers from the Love Story Rub-On set. I used the new Lagoon color to stamp several flowers, cut those out, and put them on with some 3D glue dots. Also from the same Love Story set I rubbed on the I love you sentiment and the little swirl as well. Have you ever tried Close To My Heart Rub-Ons? Oh they are wonderful!!!! You've got to try them. They are super easy to use, they come in 3 different colors all in one pack. To uses them you simply lay it over where you want it to go on your project, rub with a little wooden stick (included) and viola! That easy! They don't just have to be used on paper. You can use them on candles, glass, plastic, covers of scrapbook albums, over pictures, etc.... so many ways to use them.
